This company has sold 61 million smartphones in 2014, which is three times as much as they sold a year before. Xiaomi intends to sell 100 million handsets in 2015, which is quite a goal they set for themselves, let’s see if they can deliver. The Redmi 2 is smaller than its predecessor in every way imaginable, it’s shorter, narrower and thinner than the Redmi 1S. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz which ships with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics rendering. On the back of this handset, you’ll find an 8-megapixel camera (OmniVision sensor) and an LED flash next to it. 2-megapixel camera is located on the front side of this device for your selfies, video calls and what not. The device ships with Android 4.4 KitKat with Xiaomi’s MIUI 6 on top of it and a 2,200mAh battery is a part of this package as well. This is a dual-SIM, dual-4G handset which measures 134 × 67.2 × 9.4mm and weighs 133 grams.
