For the better part of the last few weeks, there have been numerous rumours circulating around the web about the Xiaomi device announcements on January 15. Some talking about single device announcement, others about two new smartphones, but thanks the latest Xiaomi teaser, we can now confirm that the company will be unveiling two new phones on Thursday.
According to the online reports, the upcoming phones are going to be Redmi Note 2 and Mi 5. Both will be large-screen smartphones – one targeted to the budget consumers and other for more high-end device users.
Mi 5 is expected to the thinnest Xiaomi product so far, while Redmi Note 2 will be an incremental, yet big upgrade. As per rumours, Mi 5 will feature 5.5-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM and 16MP/ 20MP rear camera, while Redmi Note 2 will come with 5.7-inch full HD display, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor, and 13MP rear camera.
